As I sit and watch the endless stars in the sky
I cry, contemplating the many reasons why
‘Til my dying day you’re the one I will adore,
And why you have enchanted my soul to its core.
You know you have, though your heart gives me no reply.

I hear the lilt in your voice as you say goodbye
And you go on about town turning a blind eye
As the remnants of my love wash up on deaths shore-
As I sit and watch.

You have feelings toward me, you try to imply,
But I see through the lies that you try to deny.
You lie to yourself, saying it’s me you yearn for,
But in reality one foot is out the door.
You’ll never know love; you stop and it passes by-
As I sit and watch.
