What is the greatest food in the world?
it came from fowl origin
encased in a fair waxen craft
a passenger of liquid gold within
floating in clear white

is it organic?
is it gmo free?
who would worry about such trivialities
in the face of pristine majesty?

o, heavenly food of foods!

with butter, with olive oil
a sizzling delightful mess
cracked, gold sifted in a pan
a wealthy bounty nonetheless

spread like a cell,
locked inside a prison of bread,
rolled up in sweet beauty,
scrambled in ordered chaos

$1 a dozen
the call to restock beckons
