I believed...
Angels

I believed
what my adoptive mum told me,
that he was safe now
and was watching over me.
A smiling guardian angel.

I've cried
since I was very young
‘Cause I was still here,
alone and cold with a hole in my heart,
while he was gone
on a mysterious adventure.

I lived
in my own little world
where miniature people kept me sane.
We’d talk and set out on our own adventures
to find a way to talk to the missing boy

I’d get angry
when our adventures would fail.
My own feelings
made me vulnerable,
‘cus I had just found out
that angels weren't real.
