Love's first blush. (Form: Tritena)
Promises

With the first kiss, I knew I'd found
fulfillment to my heart's promise;
a whispered answer on your lips.

The lies of eyes fade on the lips.
In passion, love cannot be found,
slipping away like an empty promise.

I clung in vain to hope's promise
until, upon your trembling lips,
what I thought impossible was found ...

... found in the promise of your lips.
