two parents having heart issues and the children do not know what is happening
It started at an early age and gradually gets worse.
The heart you thought could last forever.
Isn’t as strong as you think.
Pressure as high as 171.

“Dads in the ER.”
i read it over and over.
shocked, waiting for her to stop typing.
“He’s ok.”

I thought it would only happen once.
Until it happened again.
Seeing you fall made me feel sick from being afraid.
My voice was cracking as I spoke.

Her heart beat was irregular.
The doctors didn't know what to do with her.
She wore a heart monitor for months.
We are afraid.
But even more afraid to show our fear.

Seeing you in that hospital bed.
Made me feel like the walls where closing in.
Praying that it wasn’t to serious.

I’m scared.
Scared that next time you fall it will be a heart attack.
We couldn’t survive without you
None of us knew what was happening.
You said “ I feel better.”
But we could tell in your voice your werent
We know you to well.

She had to quit what she just started.
Her smile faded, you where doing so well.
I can still hear the beeping of your monitor.
The doctors didn't realize your problem.
However you did and fixed it.

Her struggle has ended.
His are happening again.
We pray you’ll both be okay.
One day there will no longer be a strain.
And our worrying can go away.
Like the times before the two hearts started to fade.
