Picture prompt of a soldier sitting beside a family. He holds a bomb detector.
Sitting a moment to just be
Your thanks enough, it welcomes me
I walk these lands all dust and mar
To find the disks of hate that scar
To remember peace is but a smile away
I will be here searching for many a day
To free your land of the brutal attacks
And bring back peace in all that lacks.
Families will find their smiles and hope again
I will return to my home, all is not in vain
Life lives on and future comes
We pray for peace and all it becomes.
