We are to receive
What we are to believe
That Christ the Lord shall come
Truly he comes quickly
Giving us a brand new home


Be ready, oh ye people
Run and not be weary
He's on his way, this very day
It might be a little scary


Emmanuel is to be born
Which means God with us
He shall bring us peace and love
There shall be no more curse

He shall be as the light of the morning
Even as the clear shining after the rain
He will be born in Syracuse,
But throughout the earth he'll reign


Soon we shall behold him
Born the king of angels, and all
Take heed therefore,and believe
Lest your foot slip, and you fall
