I'd love to sleep in the desert tonight,
with a million stars around;
I’d lay with you, ‘til the sun came up,
on the warm, blanketed ground.
You’d whisper to me, “Look into the sky
don’t miss the stars and eclipse."
Then I’d feel your arm wrapped around me, and
my hand pressed against your lips.
We’d lay together ‘til it was over,
as still as the cool night air;
I’d stay like that forever and a day
in your arms without a care.

I’d love to sleep beside you all night long
in this vast space found on Earth,
and laying there I’d know without a doubt
what my love for you was worth.
I’d never doubt the love you’d have for me,
as I’d lay there in your arms;
You’d tell me that you loved me too, knowing
that I can’t resist your charms.
I'd love to sleep in the desert tonight,
underneath the stars above;
We’d look into each other’s eyes and say,
“I’m so glad we fell in love!”
