A prose poem about not having anything to do, then finally thinking of something.
Often, much needed rest
Must seemingly be followed
By a reasonably interesting, fun-filled activity,
Of which none can come to mind,
Come to bear, be thought of, or entertained...

We wrack our eager, useless brains
For some creative avenue to occupy our time,
And can come up with nothing
Of any appreciable or expressible worth.

Yet, low and behold,
Two quantifiable heads
Are better than one,
And you and your gregarious cohorts
Think of an enlivening option;
Then, you and your buddies whisk away
Toward that inclusive endeavour,
Developing greater confidence
And in the meantime,
Having a fabulous and worthwhile time,
With the some of the best, most likable folks whom
You cavort with on a regular basis...
