I'm no poet but once in a while I get inspired. A scene from my fantasy novel, in progress
Transparent and vicious.

The sea is frowning, a mirror image of the sky above it, living yet dead.

"Drown me, carry me. Do with me what you will, just do not leave me."

The words drown in the brewing storm, a tear in the ocean, not felt not heard.

Cold and loud.

Almost calming the violence of satin against skin.

The biting frost digging beneath her fingernails, swallowing without reproach.

The breathe of the sea as salty as a sailor's blood, as powerful as a wish.

Its music, shrieking and relentless, telling an endless tale as terrible as sin.

Silent and gone.

The bellowing brave sails of the White Widow disappear into the grey horizon.

Her tears would drown fish before they reached it.

Words are wind.

Transparent and vicious

Cold and loud.

Then silent.....silent and gone.
