A man's life, bitter and remorseful, coming to a end unlike he ever imagined

A river red flows down his arm

At its mouth drips the last remnants of torture

Life had been cruel

Fate unkind

It seemed too much for him

Overburdened with failure and melancholy

Everyone he once loved forsaken him

Leaving him to bitter solitude

Breathing now harder

Vitality slowly slipping away

A light he sees in the distance

Every second it draws closer than the last

His body, ice cold, trembles

The light finally stops

"Welcome home my son

I've been waiting"

He exhales for the last time

Leaving this world with a smile on his face

He is happy for the first time
