Outline/Time Line

Chapter 1: Moving In (August 24 – 26)

Friday August 24: With the assistance of a second year grad student Jill and her family move her things into her new apartment

Saturday August 25: Jill sees her family off. Aaron invites her to attend church with him. He assists her in choosing something suitable to where to church

Sunday August 26: Jill attends church with Aaron. They go to lunch with the FCA executive board. Aaron drives her home and gives her a kiss that goes a bit further than she is expecting. He returns a little while later to assist her with unpacking her books, adding his own commentary on her literary choices. Jill reveals that she is a virgin. Aaron allows the cable guy to presume that he is in charge even though it is Jill’s home

Chapter 2: Possession (August 27 – September 3)

Monday August 27: Aaron initiates a make out session with Jill in the club meeting room after the first FCA meeting of the semester.

Wednesday August 29: Aaron becomes jealous when he sees Jill laughing and talking with another man. He asserts his possession of her and leaves marks on her shoulders. Jill bolts from the student union building and starts her graduate assistant shift early. Jill has her first encounter with Michael Lancing not realizing who he is. Jill meets a fellow psychology grad student Amara Trevino who invites her to a gathering at a mutual neighbor’s apartment, Mary Andrews. Aaron shows up later apologetic, and convinces her he won’t do it again

Friday August 31: Jill gets to know her neighbors Mary, Amara, and Marcus

Saturday September 1: Jill goes to a night club with Mary and Amara where she runs into Marcus. Jill and Marcus make-out in the back seat of his car. Marcus drives her home and fails at getting invited in for the night

Sunday September 2: Aaron shows up at Jill’s to take her to church. She refuses to go. They spend the morning together Jill confessing what she did with Marcus and Aaron marking her as his.

Monday September 3: Jill attends a picnic at Martin Chalmers’s estate where she finds herself completely bored and out of place. Aaron rewards Jill for her “performance” with a champagne diamond collar, and makes another attempt to get into her pants.

Chapter 3 Happy Birthday? (October 27 – November 3)

Saturday October 27: Aaron takes Jill to a mascaraed at the Marx family estate. She dances with Jurgen Marx who encourages her to get out of the rich phony scene while she still can. When Aaron takes Jill home that night he uses physical pleasure to torment her into revealing what she and Jurgen discussed while they danced.

Saturday November 3: Aaron and Jill have dinner together for her birthday. Aaron takes Jill’s virginity and leaves afterwards

Sunday November 4: Jill wallows in self pity

Chapter 4 Thanksgiving (November 21 – 25)

Wednesday November 21: Aaron convinces Jill to come home with him for the Thanksgiving Holiday. He introduces her to his family. They attend his niece’s dance recital that evening. Aaron’s sister-in-law has a private discussion with Jill on the terrace, and encourages her to get away from Aaron while she can. Aaron makes love to Jill the way she wanted, which encourages her that they can make it work

Thursday November 22: Jill gets up early, and goes in search of coffee. She finds the maid’s children having breakfast in the kitchen, and engages them and their mother in conversation. With the maid’s consent Jill takes the children out onto a back terrace to play. She is joined by Andrew Jr. who sets Ashley down so that she can play with the other children. They watch the children, and discuss Aaron. Once again Jill is advised that she and Aaron are not a good fit. Aaron interrupts the conversation, and expresses his disapproval of Ashley playing with the maid’s children. After a few Ashely drags Jill away to play with them Aaron warns Andrew to back off, which Andrew follows up with a warning of his own. After a few uncomfortable hours of silence Aaron takes Jill back to her room under the pretense of her needing to prepare for the evening meal. In the room Jill is staying in, he seduces her, and keeps her in the bed until they actually do have to get ready for a meal. The adults sit down to a meal with Martin Chalmers, and the Marx family minus Jurgen. Jill is offended by the dinner conversation, and retreats to the kitchen to finish her meal. Aaron does not spend the night with her.

Friday November 23: Jill has breakfast with Andrew Jr, Monica, and Ashley. Aaron joins them after working out in th Michaels’s private gym. He eats an egg white omelet while the others indulge in waffles. He does not address Jill until after his family leaves them alone in the house for the remainder of the weekend.

Chapter 5 A Harrowing Experience (December 7 – January 1)

Friday December 7: Aaron takes Jill to a BDSM club and proceeds to abuse and humiliate her. Jacob Wind, the owner of the club stops Aaron’s mistreatment of her and has him removed from the club. Jacob makes sure Jill is unharmed and drives her home
Saturday December 8: Irene picks Jill up from the airport, and peppers her with questions about her grades, friends, and finally Aaron.
Friday December 21: Jill runs into Luke Matthews in the mall while she is supposed to be Christmas shopping

Monday December 24 - 25: Luke spends Christmas with Jill and her family
Monday December 31: Jill attends a New Year’s Eve party with Luke
