My own sins
Again
And again
Repeating
Rehashing
Ad nauseam
Take it in
Embrace
Under my skin
We are akin
Hold it close
Don’t let go
Refuse to so
Until known
Understood
Be part of
What ultimately
Again
I won’t
If these words
Were bricks
Then I
Would be
Beating you
In the head
Bludgeoning
You to death
What a demise
Worthy
For the likes of you
I’m just saying
Conceptually
Again foraying
All of these words
Are
My own sins
Not yours
You are wise
Justified
Righteously correct
On the precise side
Of all that
I myself won’t get
There are no stains
None
As far as you
Are concerned
You are perfect
Whatever that is
God above
That fool
So uncool
This blasphemy
Will not wane
My ability
To piss him off
Remains unchanged
I myself also fight
Some sort of a good fight
Even though
The outcome differs
It was him
God
That started it
He picked
Every damn contest
He started the war
And all of the battles
His finger
Is on the trigger
His hand
Upon the back
Of my neck
Oh the heck
I’ll pay
For such insolence
How I’ll pay
And I’m fine
With the sum
The fee required
My eternal soul
Never has it been
My very own
Mortally is it damaged
After a lifetime
Of what good people do
When the doors are closed
After a lifetime of abuse
Maybe I’m being obtuse
Dull-witted
Towards all of you
Maybe what I say
Is as pointless as the wind
As shiftless as God’s hand
My own sins
Not yours friend
They
What I have done
Brought me here
Led me down this road
Towards this darkness
The one that unfolds
The one that I know
Sure I can explain it to you
Sure I can’t paint with words
But rest assured
What I see
Is nothing as its seems
Pale in comparison
Minute is the sampling
My own sins…
