hound dog steals the apple pie
Supergreen

marrow

hound dog

apple pie

nose.

The Hound Dog and the Pie

The hound dog chewed upon his bones

The marrow scent did fill his nose

Contented, he was supergreen

Upon the floor he did repose

And twas sated with his goodly feast

Till sweeter scent arose

Then high upon the bakers shelf

The lazy hound did spy

That which would bring him to great woe

For twas an apple pie

He knew that he must have this thing

A tasty treat indeed

And soon he would dispatch it sure

With cunning and great speed

So as his owners had stepped out

He stretched him greatly up

And carefully with teeth did grab

Then on the pie did sup

When to the house his owners came

And furious they were

For never did they ere’ suspect

Their hound as thieving cur
