A little boy has nothing to give the Christ Child
The Little Drummer Boy

Just imagine, a small boy, knowing something awesome has happened and it has to do with the young babe in the manger. He sees all of these Kings coming with the finest gifts and he has nothing to give. The only thing he has is his drum. And so it begins;

Come they told me pa rum pum pum pum
A new born King to see, pa rum pum pum pum
Or finest gifts we bring pa rum pum pum pum

They lay these by the manger.

The young child begins to honor Him by playing his drum.
The mother May nodded
Then the ox and Lamb kept time
As the young boy continues to play his drum.
He played his best and the Christ Child smiled at him and his drum.

What a wonderful sight that must have been on the first Christmas. A Child, A Drum, The Kings, Mary and Joseph, and The Christ Child.

My favorite singers for this is David Bowie and Bing Crosby
