I Had a Dream

I laid down my head, I closed my eyes,
And I had a dream!
I dreamed I awoke and the grass was green,
The sky was blue, flowers were in bloom,
A butterfly fluttered by, a robin sang,
The warm glow of the sun shimmered
Across a golden pond,
And a rainbow stretched across the morning sky.
I had a dream! I dreamed I heard the sound
Of a thousand angelic voices as they sang a heavenly
Song about how Jesus loved all the little
Children of the world, and their song was
Heard far across the land and touched
The hearts and souls of all the peoples there.
I had a dream! I dreamed that all my neighbors,
Whether they be young or old,
No matter their race, color, or creed
Reached out their loving hand
To a child in need.
I dreamed no child knew hunger,
I dreamed no child went without a home,
I dreamed all of Gods’ children were loved
And was kept warm and safe in some-ones’
Loving arms.
I had a dream! I dreamed all the people everywhere
Laid down their weapons and put their grievances
Aside and spent their energy feeding, clothing,
And protecting the Heavenly Fathers’ one
Special gift to us all---- our children.
Yes---I had a dream!
