Experiencing morning in nature stirs the soul
Mountain Morning



The stir of the morning fire; the smoke

The ancient smell of hickory and oak

Takes me to a place never seen, but a place I’ve been

Many lives before

As the sunrise greets me; the roar of the creek

The frosty morning nips my cheek

Amidst the torment, I stand content

With my old soul
