Just a Few More Minutes Man!

The transition between sleep and awake is...a drop into reality.

7:26am

Sometimes, see I look at these kids I'm in class with...I see their innocence and...unawareness.
I see that they are just kids, just young, dumb little kids like I was 10,000 years before,
just like the ones that cried for mommy and died far, far ago and long, long away from here.
I watch them play their jokes and games and I wonder;

What if...

Which of them would have been on a trail or in a bag;
Which would have cried for mommy and which would have laid silent, stoically watching their death reflected from the eyes of the worn out, burned out, soul seared medic telling them to just hang on man...just a few more minutes...a few more minutes man.
A life timed in just a...few...more...minutes...man!
I can't avoid picking which of these young, dumb, innocent kids would have been able to deal with seeing their legs wrapped up beside them and would have not gone on; given up and checked out permanently.
I see these kids, these young, dumb, glorious kids
and dam the world.
