The continued struggle with loss with a light of hope.
It's been seven long years

Since I last saw your face

And felt the warmth

Of your loving embrace.

I was told when you left

That time was the key

To ease the pain from the loss

Well, they lied to me.

I still miss you and need you

And would benefit from your advice,

And none of this will ever change

Through out the rest of this lonely life.

The only thing I can find

To cling to and help me through,

Is this string of hope, on which I hold,

That I will once again see you.

At that time when i leave this world

And I rip through the veil of time and space,

I will cross over to the other side

And see your smiling face.

Standing there to greet me

Your face all a glow,

My wound will finally heal

When you say, "Baby girl, Welcome home".
