The emptiness one feels in their life.
Emptiness

A cold dark abyss is all she ever sees
Now matter how loud she cries
No one ever hears her pleas

A battle between her heart and her mind
No matter how hard she fights
A sense of calm will she never find

Ugly. Shameful. Useless. Worthless.
As the words run through her head
All she wants is to be dead

She cries to her mother.
She cries to her father.
They had always told her she was a bother.

Quietly suffering, crying, dying.
All alone in her world of tears.
If only they knew, these were not her fears.

Within this book of silent prayers
It is almost as if no one cares

Then after a bad fight
She slipped out in the night

Much to her friend's dismay
For she had decided it was her last day

She climbed up the cliff
And stared at a passing skiff

Before throwing herself to the waters below
As she flew
In her heart she knew
This was the way to go

She said "Thank you society
For giving me anxiety"

And in the moments before death
Before she took her last breath

She screamed "Let it be!"
And set her soul free.
