I live in the southernmost part of eastern Texas. Finaly saw snow a while back...
I live in Texas and what do you know,
I look outside and I see snow.
On the rooftops,
and on the ground,
I even hear it, what a strange sound.

Kind of like rain,
I think about it,
But the cold and the lightness is not the same,
So I begin to doubt it.

The steps are slick,
I try not to slip.
The cars and trucks drive slow,
And the landlord's plants surely won't grow...

Because it's cold,
A feeling untold to Texas teens,
We are used to humidity, heat, sun, and football teams.

The white, the ice,
It really is nice...

I am thankful for it.
Snow.
In Texas, who would have thought?
