How I see myself

You will not find me under the hot lights of center stage - those years have passed for me; but instead dancing from my soul across still warm wood after everyone else has gone home. Fully open just guarded by steel, I ache to be loved as I love; with all that I am. The good and the bad. To hold a hand, to lead and be led. To laugh, cry, learn and teach. Explore, invent, cherish and agree to disagree.

My favorite part of myself is my eyes. 36 years of sights: success, failure, love, loss and dreams. All sitting just behind hazel. I am not perfect - though I love to strive for perfection. I have a lot to learn but love to be taught. I don't live for the sun but instead love to be lost in the rain. I don't run from the storm. I stand my ground and turn my face to the sky. Rain soaked - dripping white hot. Music playing, candles lit, a hot bath, a passionate kiss. Breathless, heart pounding. It's so simple it seems impossible.
So; if you wish to find me, don't look at sun bathers by a pool or cell phone talking mall shoppers. That is just not me. I am found lost in unheard music and dancing in the rain because even silence has a melody of its own.
