love pain agony past life
You were heavens to me once,
The one I could escape to,
Your words were gospel to my ears,
The lyrics where you told me your days,

You were heaven to me once,
Your touch softer than clouds,
Your smile brighter than the sun,
Your soul as mysterious as the moon.

Once upon a time you were heaven,
Filled with gold and diamonds,
The world saw you differently,
As if you had no soul,
But I saw you clear as day,
The way lovers should see each other.
And your soul was as beautiful as they came,

Heaven came but left me picking up the memories,
Left me behind with nothing in mind,
With scars left wide open,
Once I had my own heaven,
Now she's too far away to call it heaven once again.
