About someone who used to be a best friend who I really loved.

What I see in front of me,

is all the happy memories,

Anything that can get my mind,

off the bad memories that I have.

How you hurt me

is reason enough to forget you.

I try with all my might,

but I am never successful.

Wish I was stronger

and that I could forget the happy times.

Maybe all the good times we had

can never be forgotten.

The good always prevails over the bad

and that is why I always go back to when we were friends.

Though I wish

that I could be free from these memories.

Maybe for now I will be trapped

in the happiness that I once had.

In time I will finally break free

and all memories of you will be just that,

memories of the past.

It will be a slow process,

but I have faith that in time I will move on from the friendship that once was.
