A life from now… I will not think of you
A life from now…
I will not think of you,
I will regain myself and start anew.
The sweetest torture of my life will end,
But not just yet, not now, let’s not pretend.

I long for you as if we had a past,
Or any kind of future that would last,
Like at some point in the history of time
I could be yours or, Hell, you could be mine.

Your playful eyes induce me to believe
In thousands different lives that I could live –
Your rightful queen, a gentle maid, a shrew,
In other lives I could’ve been born for you:

To kiss that gentle dimple on your chin,
To dwell on every detail of your skin,
To brush your hair with fingers, tender touch –
Not much to ask, but yet it is too much.

I know that none of it can be my part,
But still, I have the words within my heart.
As long as inspiration lives in me,
Let me address you in my poetry.
