The memories and thoughts haunting a man late at night.
It was a great time
We were practically made for each other
We shared the same mindset,
even though our minds were very different
She was creative
I was intelligent
She was emotional
I was rational
But still we saw the world the same way
We felt trapped
Trapped by our youth
No one understood us
No one cared about us
We wanted to be free
To start our lives
To take control
We both had scars we never showed
We both carried sadness which we hid
Both of us felt lonely
Even though we secretly enjoyed being alone
Even though we both enjoyed the sex
Even though we both enjoyed the company
Even though we both enjoyed talking
especially when we had nothing to say
We had both played with the thought of suicide
But that is one thing which made us different
One of us went through with it

To this day I carry the scar
A constant reminder of the past
They are not so different
Neither can be lost
But luckily
They can both be hidden
