Drunk Poetry

The night was full of kisses.
The moon was full and bright.
The morning came too soon.
The sun was all too bright.

In the darkness I found solace.
I treasured every moment.
But when the dawn was upon us
Before I could blink, you were stolen.

My only fears are realized.
The daybreak has taken you away.
You are ripped from me in pieces.
I always knew you could never stay.

Falling out of love is the hardest.
What you always knew never was.
You never think it will happen.
Not to you.
Not until it does.
