Prince of all mountains

Calvary, my Calvary,
Great Mountain of proud heritage
Created and seated from time immemorial
Waiting for her time in history
With pebbles and beautiful flowers you were adorned
Seasons and times passed on you
Children and lovers graced your sites
Shepherds and warriors marched your paths
Even David the beloved sang on your meadows
How I love to see they face
My Calvary

Bellows and wars
Romans dubbed you Golgotha,
Where skulls rolled
And light taken off from life sockets
Crucify, crucify replaced thy ascent songs,
Your roses stained in blood
Your sweet scents with stench odours
And men avoid thy paths
No more waves from love pals,
How I love to see thy face
My calvary

If you could, would have,
Rejected His crucifixion,
Not the blood of your adorn-er
Who gave you beauty
if you could, you would have,
Covered your face with thorns,
To fight the assailants,
From driving home their nails,
Through the hollow of his hands,
How I love to see your face,
My Calvary.

Until "It is finished"
Then you beamed with joy
That He had made you thus,
To be remembered with redemption
To be called the hill of perfections,
Where all humanity were saved
Then all races and tongues
Come to you,
That you are,
You are the prince of all mountains
How I love to see your face!
My Calvary.
