Vacation Poem
With coffee now in my trembling hand
I stand upon darkened sand
The winner of a battle bold

I rolled upon these beaches sold
A scent of powder crosses my nose
And blows my senses about in droves
The sulfur brings my eyes to tear
Thunder cheers us well past fear
I sip my coffee through shaken nerves
Open verve for the one I serve
Should I then carry one thing beyond strife
Then rife my last breath with my love of life
