A poetic tribute to the onset of addiction in it's darkest manifestations.
Paint me white
The moonlight satin glow
This other woman's comfort
She treats me well
but welcomes my demons,
Woman in white
Dancing in the night
Painting me with a wicker brush
Dipped in the waxen mud
Pressing against my skin,
Wiping away all my sins,
Covering them with paraffin,
But they still call my name
They come running to me,
Running,
Screaming,
Clawing,
Searching,
Crying out,
For the woman in black
Painted white.
