A poem about if there is more to life than just the same routine day in and day out.
The shadows danced with the morning light,
Along the buildings and the people below
Rushing to their jobs lest they be late.
Day after day the hordes rush on
Not wondering if, perhaps,
There is more.

The shadows danced with the lampposts' light,
Along the buildings where the people sleep
Resting before the alarm disturbs their slumber
And wakes them for their routine, ever the same.
They never wonder if, perhaps,
There is more.

The shadows danced with the moon's light
Along the buildings and the elder person,
Meditating in solitude of his life near past.
The man smiles and laughs, because
He had once wondered if, perhaps,
There was more
And he knew there was.
