How we negotiate the labyrinth
Managing

We have guards at every exit
Yet still nobody stays
Red tape cuffing ankles, wrists
This bureaucratic maze
I came in automatically
Adhering to truths
With time handled so averagely
Its honesty we lose
I gave extra at the office
Of what was owed of mine
Wanting their three pounds of flesh
They’ve already had nine
Still this is how we manage
How we cope and how we snap
Assessing quality and damage
With a speshul one hand clap
Leaving only bullshit
And statistics in red haze
Tape binding those who follow
The correct path through the maze
