Poem about the difficulty of change
Remembering the year and keeping to the code.
I find things aren't so new, yet also aren't so old.
Looking to the future, learning from the past
the old cliche is honest; I know it cannot last.

All change is good, perhaps not bad, it truly makes us yearn.
Yet, the opportunity to grow comes up at every turn.
May we always find the time to see the benefits.
To find the joy in sorrow, we must embrace change with our wits.

When fears come quickly creeping in your dreams and days alike,
may you find a calm more readily than the urge of fight or flight
When sorrow takes you over to a shore of dark and light,
may you see the other colors reflecting just as bright.

If you find that you are weary, that the world has asked too much,
may you find the strength in numbers, may you tremble at her touch.
Perhaps you'll feel regret at not doing as you wish,
In which case, I pray you see there is benefit in this.

So for the next year coming, change will meet us at each turn;
And we'll fight and move against it, and we'll suffer in return.
Or perhaps we'll seek the knowledge that it brings within its wake,
we'll follow our hearts' desires and avoid our next mistake.
