Writer's Cramp Contest~
The leaves are full of color, deep red, orange and brown
Swirling all together, one by one they tumble down

The beauty of the sight, the smell of fall in the air
Wishing I could see it, and feel the wind in my hair

Leaves falling around me, like a blanket on the ground
Colors so bright and crisp, as they form into a mound

I wish to fall into them, feeling free and alive once more
Sadly I can't do that, I made decisions that were poor

I dream to see the colors, a sight that warms the heart
Maybe after I serve my time, I'll get a new fresh start

Never take for granted, all the things in this world to see
Inside of this colorless cell, is where I have to be

I miss seeing the colors, to live in a rainbow every day
Now sitting in my cell, my world has turned grey
