For me it has always been about the journey. Leaving those that I love behind.

Embarkation
Destination
Via separation
Taken away
Made to pay
All that I loved
Ripped
From these hands
Torn
From this heart
Forget me
They now must
Disown me
They have no choice
Such decisions
Come natural
For most
Self-preservation
Makes them capable
They will be safe
Without me
They will be free
Because of me
All is as it seems
Here
Facing the darkest sea
Emotionless
I’ve become
Fearless
Spiritless
What a mess
I have no chance
I have to go
Leaving this place
Far behind
I don’t know
Where I’ll end up
Embarkation
Destination
Via separation
Always I’ll pay
For such mistakes
For such things
I have been meant
I was born for this
Thrown into chaos
Enslaved
By the madness
That runs wild
Behind these eyes
A seed once sown
A forest since grown
Potent was the mix
Two neurotic people
Will often result
In another
Quite incapable
I’ve always been
What I thought
What I was sure
Was love
Was in fact a lie
Widely told
Cleverly sown
Beat into this skull
Pressed into my heart
None of it was fact
Less of it was real
Sad but true
Heavy and absolute
There is no avoiding
What I am
There is only delay
Via relocation
Stemming from
Separation
Embarkation
I must leave
This station
I must go away
To another place
To another time
All alone
It’s where I belong
My one absolute
My home away
From all that I
Was sure I knew
None of it
Was meant for me
I play a different game
One far more dangerous
One that hurts me most
I will leave them behind
Not because it’s what I wish
I will leave them behind
Because it’s all that I know
All that I’m certain about
Upon the loneliest of sea
There are and will
Always be waves
Ones that I myself
Must come to face
I must go where it is
They will take me
In the ways in which
They will make me…
