A wonderful rare occurrence.
Close to the earth it traverses the heavens
An image large and luminous
Until the earth shifts
Directly in line
So that the light is eclipsed
A rarity of time and space
When both size and sights converge.

In ancient times, thoughts ran
To the end of the world
But now, there is a yearning to see
And experience all that is
Other worldly.

Watch the sky
And marvel at all that is
See the reflection
In the shimmering waters
That lay silently
Awestruck at the moment
Held in time
And wonder.

We are witnesses
To this natural phenomenon
No blood will be spilled
No violence unbound
Just a witnessing
Of wonderment.
