Some people see the dead in different ways...
~To Whom It May Concern~

To whom it may concern, the girl I loved is dead.

I am haunted by that girl, and her eyes that watch me, as I lie asleep in bed.

That girl died before my eyes, yet I was too blind to see.

I am a fool, to try to love a ghost, that memory of who she used to be.

But her body still walks among the crowd, fooling me into remembering those faded memories, tricking me to feel.

I saw the one I trusted the most, die as she stabbed me in the back, creating a wound time shall never heal.

And yet the greatest lie she ever told, me was "I love you". Because I would have rather had a beautiful lie, than an ugly truth.

For this I now watch that stranger, walk through my life, like a ghost. She is the memory of my past, the soulmate of my youth.
