A romantic poem.
It seems an eternity, this jail of my mind,
Wretched sobs sound through the night,
The key to my freedom I have yet to find,
Oh how I so long for that blessed light;
Often I dream of that key being brought,
The lock to my cell is a torturous sight,
But one day I'll hear what I have sought,
The footsteps of she who heard my plight;
With a heart so warm, a smile so healing,
She'll unlock the door to my hellish prison,
She is my angel, my only reason for being,
To her my heart and soul shall be given;
Forever in her debt for my blessed freedom,
I shall make her queen, and be her knight,
Her happiness is all I need for my fiefdom,
For her smile, her laugh, I will forever fight.
