How lucky to be a temp and get laid off; my next assignment lasted 20 yrs - a rhyming poem
Being pro's never an emotional quandary
It's collecting that news and some technical laundry.
One washes then dries or dry cleans until
Their clothing so fresh does fit their strong bill.

One's leaders have purpose to maximize gains
And challenging quarters cause meaningful pains.
But engaging with force and lack of authority
Must rank certain skills that show superiority.

A posture rewritten that's awful and clear
That structural promise is no longer here
Temping and slaving to support one's own cause
Has led to a lay-off, then a wealth of applause.

Assignments aplenty, good natured and fine
Has led to a hiring, that grand taste of wine.
One fails distinctly, but with highest regard
Only to find that life's never that hard!
