A place to go, away from the shopping madness.

Seasons come and seasons go,
and Christmas shopping demanding as you know.
The slow of traffic, the madness at the mall,
and folks wrapped up in the pricing of it all.

Lines at checkouts, that yearly push and shove;
it is the season of mammon (where is love?)
Black Friday starting before the turkey cools,
and I’m not one to abide by these old rules.

(Refrain:)
Little getaway, with you I spend my time;
  little getaway, it is for peace of mind!
At the Red Barn...at the Red Barn,
  I’ll stay with you awhile.
At the Red Barn...at the Red Barn,
  I find tomorrow’s smile.

Rest, repose and a loft where I relax;
a remedy for anxiety attacks.
Out in the country, or so it seems to me;
it is a refuge of pure tranquility.

Abandoned now--no horses do abide;
it’s like a time machine when I am there inside.
Away from shopping, the calm of natures lives;
and I am happy for all the joy it gives.

(Refrain:)
Little getaway, with you I spend my time;
  little getaway, it is for peace of mind!
At the Red Barn...at the Red Barn,
  I’ll stay with you awhile.
At the Red Barn...at the Red Barn,
I find tomorrow’s smile.
