What we must remember...
Christmas comes but once a year;
Through darkness it brings light.
Bustle and folly claim the streets
And send us into frenzied panic.

But stop a moment
Take a breath
And listen with your heart.

This season is not all baubles and bows
All glitz and glimmering parties.
The true essence of the season
Is in the heart...
Way down deep inside
It is kindness and love,
Hope and joy,
Anticipation of good things to come,
Sharing time with family and friends.
That should be gift enough.
The presence of presence.

Being close and reaching out
Finding connections that bring us closer.

Let strife go.
Let gratitude permeate.
Appreciate what you have;
Let it make you humble and content.
There is nothing that we really need,
Only the love and connection to others.
