Also in loving memory of my personal shooting star who burned bright but fell too fast.
Once I wished upon a star
She answered and came to me.

On Earth she spent a short time living,
My star child she came to be.

Little did my heart know
She was a shooting star.
Bright and fast and out she went!
Me wishing from afar.

Her light within me shines on still
And ever will be bright.

But go she must to shine her light
Back in heaven’s night.

How blessed am I to call her mine
For even a little while?

Daughter my love will never die!
I’ll never forget your smile!

How sweet it is to know your face?
And your spirit enriched us all!

Thank you my love for risking this life
And taking the greatest fall!

Into my arms for a minute or two.
Into my heart forever!

I love you forever and always child
With a strength no one can sever!

Once I wished upon a star
And met my greatest love!

And now from heaven she again shines down,
Blessing me from above!

For my beloved daughter Elana
