A child steps into the next stage of his life - with a plot twist
“Hey, what’s up? You called?” Charlie asked, walking up to me at the playground.

“I am going to Big Boy school tomorrow. Mummy says I will learn a LOT of new things there. And there will be LOADS of other kids to play and study with!”

“That’s awesome! I’m going to school with you, aren’t I?”

“I’m afraid not, Charlie” I replied, staring intently but sadly back at him.

“What? Why?”

“I don’t need you anymore. You have to go away now.” With that I pushed him into the path of an oncoming car.

Goodbye Charlie, my imaginary best friend.
