Ever felt pulled in too many directions?
What is it that you want
Would you tell me
Please

I'm tired
Of guessing
So tired

Every fleeting whim
Every desperate desire
Every hollow ache

They yank me
And pull me
With strings around my heart

I can't tell
I don't know
Which one pulls the tightest

My breath is
Ragged
With the fear

They are tethered to nothing at all

I'm so scared
I'm terrified
The strings have turned to chains
