What is left of this Wonderland? Dark rainbows and bright memory's.
She walks from the fall into a shattered room
She knows it is not more she wants to be, but less
Through the door into a world of wonder

Her tears begin like the memory of a river
As she stands with no one to forgive her
Seeing a dry winding road
Huddling against a ghostly cold
Her feet crunch on bones and dust
What is left of beauty?

Where are the animals and birds who were first her friends?
Did same tale drive them to their end?
Or was it something in this now dark day
Where fire has burned it all away

Why is there no beast to slay?

Cards burned on edges flutter in the wind
No cakes to eat or tea to drink
She cannot understand the desolate scheme

Of all these changes
She feels in herself the biggest
She lies on the back of a turtle shell
Wishing the spirit would rise
Wishing more she had never know such beauty
And lost it
Mourning the child

The magic of a dream
Real to her once as a shower of leaves
As a sister with a small cup of tea
But as she releases the dreams of a girl
She finds the storms are past
And there is a spot of green on the carpet of grass
She need only be
To return to life the dream

Instead of fighting who she was
Loving who she has become
Fire is smoldered out all about
Up come the flowers and trees
Will this ever be the same?
No new forest ever grows back
It instead changes like the Cheshire cat.
