Janus picks the right job.

Janus, being of sound mind and of moral stature,
had to decide on three options; to wit, past,
future or present.  All three jobs were,
at first, equally attractive.

Janus, being the door to a new year,
opened himself slightly to eye the past
and being tempted, readied himself to jump
but then thought better of it (wait, he told himself.)

Janus, dressed in a blue suit neat as shirt pins,
applied excessive stress on brass hinges and
peeked with wide peepers at the future as if
a would-be Nostradamus, cogitating said
position.  He almost accepted, yet here,
too, satisfaction remained lacking.

Janus, a solid Julian Calendar citizen, closed
the door to the later and examined the now,
being satisfied the now needed him more.
Right as natty raiment, he adjusted his
tie, negotiated a fair salary, signed
the contract and shook hands
with his new employer.
