A simple prose on a tree.
Reaching to the black sky, bleak and cold
a thousand points, naked and exposed
forever joined as one.

Below, the rotting remains of their past,
Gnarled, twisted and beautiful;
Home to creatures innumerable.
Its roots sink deep into lives long forgotten

It sways and moves, whispering in its ancient tongue,
a language long forgotten to a world of fools.
