MRS. JOHANNESSEN
You're all invited to our house this weekend for a pool party. Your families are also invited.

MS. SELARIU
A little cold for a swim this time of year, isn't it?

MRS. JOHANNESSEN
Oh, this is nothing. To us Norwegians, this is like summer weather for us. But, we also have a hot tub with enough room for all of us.
(Wanting to ask a question, Mrs. Andersen looks at Mrs. Johannessen.)

MRS. JOHANNESSEN
(To Mrs. Andersen)
Yes, there will be alcoholic beverages. (Looking at the male teachers.) That includes beer for you men.

MR. JOYNER
Woo hoo.

MRS. JOHANNESSEN
Sorry to disappoint you, Lijsbeth, but there will be no drugs.

MS. DE SMIT
(Sarcastically)
Ha ha.

MRS. JOHANNESSEN
(To Ms. Isayeva)
We also have vodka.

MS. ISAYEVA
Very funny, Sofia.

MRS. JOHANNESSEN
(To Ms. Mata)
And music. I can't wait to out dance you, Carolina.

MS. MATA
In your dreams.

Act 1 Scene 2- Untitled Scene

Edyta and Katarzyna decide to put the principal's and several teachers' houses for sale.

(Edyta is looking at house magazines for fun.)

KASIA
What are you doing, Edyta.

EDYTA
Looking at house magazines for fun. Im looking for my dream house.
(Edyta continues to look through the magazine as Kasia curiously peers over her shoulder.)

KASIA
I just got an idea. Let's out a bunch of the teachers' houses for sale.

EDYTA
Me like.

KASIA
Actually, while we're at it, let's put Dr. Romanova's house for sale. Might as well go all out.

EDYTA
I like the way you think.

Act 1 Scene 3- At Lunch

EXT. UNTITLED LOCATION - UNSPECIFIED TIME
Edyta and Katarzyna continue working on their prank during lunch time.

(Diana, Emma, Mette, and Sasha look to see Edyta and Katarzyna deeply engaged in something.)

METTE
(To Edyta and Katarzyna)
What are you doing?

EDYTA
(To Mette)
We're putting the principal and several teachers' houses for sale. The ones we have the addresses for anyway.

METTE
You know, my mom's a teacher. I can supply you with a ton of addresses.

KASIA
(To Mette, smiling)
You don't say.

METTE
(With a mischievous smile)
I have a house in mind. Actually, make that two houses.

EMMA
We can put our place for sale.

SASHA
And ours.

KASIA
Oh, we already got that covered. We just need to confirm your address.

DIANA
We can do Ms. Ausderau's house. I know where she lives.

Act 2 Scene 1- Untitled Scene

EXT. UNTITLED LOCATION - UNSPECIFIED TIME
Mette welcomes the guests

(It is Saturday afternoon. The pool party at the Johannessen house is about to begin. As the guests arrive, Mette takes aim at them from the bushes with a pair of water guns. As the Jacobses arrive, Mette hits Mr. and Mrs. Jacobs at the same time with the water guns.)

MR. JACOBS
(To Mrs. Johannessen)
You have a water sniper in your bushes.
(Mrs. Johannessen steps outside to find Mette hiding in the bushes.)

MRS. JOHANNESSEN
(To Mette)
Aha! I should have known it was you! Get out of there!
(After getting out of the bushes, Mette heads upstairs.)
(A few minutes later, the doorbell rings. Mrs. Johannessen opens the door to see Yana, with Alyona and Sabine standing behind her.)

MRS. JOHANNESSEN
Sorry. Now's not a good time. We're having a party.

YANA
We know. Mette invited us.
(Mrs. Johannessen turns toward the stairs.)

MRS. JOHANNESSEN
(Screaming)
METTE!!!
(As Mrs. Johannessen turns back around, she sees Alyona, Sabine, and Yana let themselves in.)

MRS. JOHANNESSEN
(To Alyona, Sabine, and Yana)
Hey! I didn't say you could come in!
(Yana waves and smiles as she, Alyona, and Sabine head upstairs to Mette's room.)
(Upstairs Alyona, Sabine, and Yana find Mette standing by the window with a five gallon bucket of water.)

SABINE
(Amused)
What are you doing?

METTE
My mom won't let me shoot water at the guests, so I'll just greet them from up here. Now I'm just waiting for the right victim or victims.
(A few minutes later, she sees the Moores getting out of their car.)

METTE
(With an evil grin.)
He he he.

Act 2 Scene 2- Pool Time

EXT. UNTITLED LOCATION - UNSPECIFIED TIME

(Mrs. Johannessen and some of the female teachers step outside to relax in the hot tub. One of the teachers notices something in the nearby pool.)

MS. DE SMIT
(To Mrs. Johannessen)
Why does it look like there's a shark in your pool?
(Mrs. Johannessen looks toward the pool.)

MRS. JOHANNESSEN
Mette! Cut it out with the shark costume!
(In the meantime, the men are enjoying a beer on the deck. Annelise comes by with some sandwiches.)

LARS
(To the others)
My precious Anneliese. Isn't she great?

MR. MOORE
Yeah, she's always so well behaved in my class.

MR. JACOBS
Well, I hear Mette is a good student, too. She's very smart.

LARS
Meh.
(Lars heads inside to get another beer. In the meantime, Mr. Jacobs and Mr. Moore look at each other in confusion.)

MR. JOYNER
What was that about?

Act 2 Scene 3- Inside The House

EXT. UNTITLED LOCATION - UNSPECIFIED TIME
Mette has a fight with her father

(Inside Lars sees Mette.)

LARS
(In demanding tone)
Get me a beer.

METTE
Get your OWN beer.

LARS
You're the most useless person I've ever met. Your mother should have stopped at one child like I wanted.
(Mette spits in his face. Lars responds by slamming Mette hard against the wall.)

METTE
Don't you touch me.

LARS
What are you going to do about it? Go ahead and tell your mother. Then when I leave the three of you, you will have nothing.
(They see Mrs. Johannessen about to come in.)

LARS
(Walking away)
Worthless child.

METTE
(To Lars)
Go to hell.
(Mette heads back toward Alyona. Alyona notices Mette looks dazed.)

ALYONA
(To Mette)
Are you okay?

METTE
I just had a fight with my father.

ALYONA
Ah. (Pause) Things haven't been great at my house either. The other day, my father - as he's called on paper - reminded me that I wasn't his child. Now he's talking about not leaving me anything in his will. As if I care.

METTE
Still being his drunk bastard self, eh?

ALYONA
Yep.

Act 2 Scene 4- Wake Up Call

EXT. UNTITLED LOCATION - UNSPECIFIED TIME
Ms. Lauter gets waken up in the wee hours of the morning.

(It is a few minutes after four in the morning the next Monday. Ms. Lauter is waken up by the sound of the phone ringing.)

MS. LAUTER
(Groggy)
Hello?

RANDOM CALLER
I would like to take a look at your house. When can I stop by?

MS. LAUTER
(Annoyed)
I don't have time for pranks this early in the morning.
(She hangs up the phone.)
(The phone continues to ring. Finally, after several phone calls, Ms. Later gets frustrated, yanks the phone from the wall and throws it to the other side of the room.)

Act 2 Scene 5- At Dr. Romanova's Office

EXT. UNTITLED LOCATION - UNSPECIFIED TIME
Dr. Romanova gets a call from an interested buyer.

(Later in the day Dr. Romanova gets a phone call from an interested buyer.)

RANDOM CALLER
(On the telephone)
Hi, I would like to look at your house. When is a good time?

DR. ROMANOVA
Who are you?!

RANDOM CALLER
I'm interested in buying your house.

DR. ROMANOVA
It's not for sale!

RANDOM CALLER
Is this the owner of (address of Dr. Romanova's house)?

DR. ROMANOVA
(Annoyed)
Yes...

RANDOM CALLER
I was just looking at your house in the For Sale by Owner magazine.
(Dr. Romanova's eyes open wide.)

DR. ROMANOVA
There's obviously been a huge mistake.

RANDOM CALLER
My apologies, ma'am. Have a nice day.

DR. ROMANOVA
(With an annoyed face)
You, too.
(She hangs up the phone.)

DR. ROMANOVA
(To herself)
I'm going to kill these kids.

Act 2 Scene 6- Fun On The Phone

EXT. UNTITLED LOCATION - UNSPECIFIED TIME
Mette takes a call from an interested buyer.

(Mette's phone rings.)

METTE
(On telephone)
Hello?

RANDOM CALLER
Hi, I'm interested in looking at your house. When's a good time?

METTE
Early Saturday morning. Preferably, VERY early. The earlier, the better.

RANDOM CALLER
Thanks. See you then.

METTE
You're welcome. The pleasure's all mine.
(Immediately after she hangs up, Mette begins to laugh maniacally.)

EMMA
(To Mette)
Are you sure you want to be waken up that early?

METTE
Of course not. I didn't send them to MY house. (Pause) Can't say the same for Mr. Moore. Mwa ha ha ha.

EMMA
Um, you do realize that the Moores might notice that you gave out your phone number for the ad?

METTE
Nonsense. (Grinning mischievously) My teachers don't have my cell phone number. They'll never know it's me.

DIANA
You should see what I did when someone called about Ms. Ausderau's house. I told them if no one answered the door, to feel free to let themselves in the yard and look around.

EMMA
Are you sure no one is going to get shot?!

DIANA
Eh, life comes with risks.

EMMA
Easy to say that when it isn't YOUR life at risk.

Act 3 Scene 1- Untitled Scene

EXT. UNTITLED LOCATION - UNSPECIFIED TIME
Ms. Ausderau stops by Mr. Jacobs' classroom to have a quick chat.

(After talking with her friends, Ms. Ausderau stops by Mr. Jacobs' classroom.)

MS. AUSDERAU
(To Mr. Jacobs)
How was your weekend?

MR. JACOBS
Could have been better. We had random people calling all weekend asking if they could see our house. Apparently someone put our house for sale. I suspect it may have been my kids, but they're still denying any involvement.

MS. AUSDERAU
It's better than having strangers wandering through your backyard.

MR. JACOBS
Ah, so they got your house too.

MS. AUSDERAU
Yeah, except I suspect Didi or Roos had something to do with it. Or both. They're the only students who've visited my house.

MR. JACOBS
Apparently Mette did the same thing to her parents and the Moores. It was probably a bunch of them in it together.

Act 3 Scene 2- Untitled Scene

EXT. UNTITLED LOCATION - UNSPECIFIED TIME
Ms. Selariu confronts her daughter.

(Mrs. Selariu confronts her daughter after finding a suspicious charge online.)

MS. SELARIU
(To Didi)
I know you and Mette had something to do with putting Dr. Romanova's and several teachers' houses for sale.

DIANA
(Panicking)
It was Edyta and Kasia's idea!

MS. SELARIU
There were others involved, weren't there?! Who else was behind this?
(Didi grows silent.)

MS. SELARIU
(Shaking her fist in front of Didi)
Give me names!

DIANA
(Panicking)
Okay! Okay! Emma and Sasha also helped!

Act 3 Scene 3- Untitled Scene

EXT. UNTITLED LOCATION - UNSPECIFIED TIME
Edyta gets acknowledged for her part in the prank.

(The next day after class, Mr. Jacobs approaches Edyta.)

MR. JACOBS
I heard you and Kasia were the masterminds behind putting our houses for sale. Well played, Edyta.

EDYTA
No hard feelings?

MR. JACOBS
(Sticking out his hand for a handshake)
Nope.
(When Edyta shakes his hand, she gets shocked by a hand buzzer.)

EDYTA
Somehow, I doubt the sincerity of your statement.

Act 3 Scene 4- Untitled Scene

EXT. UNTITLED LOCATION - UNSPECIFIED TIME
The girls all get Saturday detention for their prank.

(Didi, Edyta, Emma, Katarzyna, Mette, and Sasha are in Dr. Romanova's office.)

DR. ROMANOVA
Apparently you all have too much time on your hands. So each and every one of you are going to clean the entire school for the next four Saturdays.

SASHA
But Mom, some of us have gymnastics training on Saturdays.

DR. ROMANOVA
That's too bad. You're going to have to miss it.

KASIA
Edyta and I don't have a ride.

DR. ROMANOVA
You have feet, don't you? You two will just have to walk here.

EDYTA
But I live over two miles away.

DR. ROMANOVA
So?

Act 3 Scene 5- Untitled Scene

EXT. UNTITLED LOCATION - UNSPECIFIED TIME
The teachers talk about Mette.

(The teachers are gathered outside Mr. Jacobs' classroom. They begin to talk about Mette's recent behavior.)

MR. MOORE
Sometimes I think Mette's too smart for her own good.

MR. JACOBS
I hear she likes to give her male teachers an especially hard time. For that reason, I'm not exactly looking forward to two years from now. I know she's going to sign up for AP History.

MS. JAKOBSEN
I think she's like that because of her father. I overheard him talk mean about her at their house to one of his friends.

MRS. ANDERSEN
I agree. I can't stand him.

MS. LINDGREN
(Looking at Birgitte and Mr. Moore)
Be careful about talking about him in front of his friends.

BIRGITTE
(To Ms. Lindgren)
Ha, Sara, he's more like my father's friend. (To the others) He and my father both own big companies in Norway. But, as you can see, his wife and I are good friends, though.

MR. MOORE
I've only known him since when they first moved here.

MS. JAKOBSEN
As in when he came here just with his passport thinking it was going to be easy to get a visa? Moron even sold his house in Norway not knowing he was going to have to go back while he and his wife got their visas. Thankfully, the girls were able to get student visas so they could stay and continue their gymnastics training that they came here for.

MRS. ANDERSEN
(To Mr. Moore)
Didn't you and your wife look after the kids?

MR. MOORE
I actually didn't mind. Well, at least one of them. It was a relief when they took Mette back.

MS. LINDGREN
Why?

MR. MOORE
Well, for one, within the first week we had angry neighbors at our door.
(Last November...)

METTE
(To Sabine while holding several M16 firecrackers)
I can't believe these pussy fireworks are illegal. (Pause) Let's go light some on the neighbor's porch.

SABINE
Won't they get angry?

METTE
Nah. I'm sure they have a sense of humor.
(After setting off the fireworks, Mette and Sabine quickly run away. A few minutes later, the doorbell rings.)

MRS. MOORE
(Looking through the peephole)
They look pretty angry. Do you mind getting it?

MR. MOORE
No problem.
(He opens the door.)

NEIGHBOR
(In a stern, angry voice)
You might want to keep an eye on your kids. They just lit off a bunch of fireworks on our front porch.

MR. MOORE
What kids? They don't live here anymore.

MRS. MOORE
(To Mr. Moore)
I think they mean Mette and Anneliese. (Pause) Except Anneliese is upstairs finishing her homework. Isn't Mette outside with her friend?

MR. MOORE
Ah, yes. (To the neighbor) My apologies. I'll make sure it doesn't happen again.
(After the neighbors walk away, Mr. Moore goes to look for Mette and Sabine. He finds them sitting behind the house laughing.)

MR. MOORE
(To Sabine)
I think it's time you went home.

MR. MOORE
(To Mette)
You're in big trouble.

METTE
(Laughing)
What are you going to do? You're not my father.
(Moments later, Mette funds herself sitting at her desk forced to write an apology letter to the neighbors. When she brings it to Mr. Moore for approval, he finds her apology letter sorely lacking in sincerity.)

MR. MOORE
(To Mettw)
Do it over. I want a sincere apology.
(Mette scoffs as she heads back to her room. However, he next letter is dripping with sarcasm. Mr. Moore makes her write yet another letter. The cycle repeats until it is past midnight and Mette is clearly exhausted.)

MRS. MOORE
Don't you think you're being a little harsh? You both DO have school in the morning.

MR. MOORE
Not until she learns to write a sincere apology.
(Finally, after two in the morning, Mette finally caves in. At almost 2:30 in the morning, she comes to Mr. Moore with a finished apology letter.)

MR. MOORE
(To Mette)
That's better.
(.........................................)

MR. JACOBS
I remember you calling me about that. That was when Sabine was staying with our family. At least, the Johannessens asked you two to take care of them. Sabine's mother didn't bother to ask anyone to look after her kid. Just decided to go back to Belgium without her own daughter. Sabine was a senior already, so we thought we'd give her a place to stay until she finished school. (Pause) Not that Sabine was an angel either. We got kicked out of Busch Gardens because of her and Emma.

MR. MOORE
Ha! How did that happen?
(Last spring at Busch Gardens...)
(Mr. and Mrs. Jacobs see a wet Emma and Sabine being escorted by park security.)

PARK SECURITY
(To Mr. Jacobs)
Sir, are these your children?
(.....................................)

MR. JACOBS
Apparently, they got bored on Le Scoot and decided to jump off the log flume into the water. According to Emma, it was all Sabine's idea. (Pause) It's too bad my wife and I don't hit other people's children. I'm sure Emma wishes she wasn't our kid when we got home.
(Roos suddenly appears with goggles, inner tube, and snorkel in hand.)

ROOS
(Smiling with excitement)
I'm ready.

MS. JAKOBSEN
(To the other teachers)
I'm mentoring Roos. I told her if she got good grades on this past report card, that she could use the indoor pool at my apartment. But after hearing these stories, I'm starting to regret this.
