A poem exampling my views of what it is like in this generation.
do not determine my color by the vocals that i was given
nor the features that i have based on the words i choose.
do not decide i cannot have this body because my voice
does not sound the gender i look
nor say that my gender does not fit my voice.
do not force me to uncomfortable in my own skin,
because it does not fit the ideas we were raised on.

do not consider me incorrect if i do not capitalize,
nor say i am arrogant for not doing so.
do not decide i cannot be smart because
the way i write and the way i talk,
nor say that i never got education.
do not force me to be uncomfortable in my own skin,
because it does not fit the ideas we were raised on.

do not stereotype the things i like,
nor the lifestyle i have chosen.
do not assume i am poor,
or rich, or smart, or dumb.
do not judge me based on the color of my skin,
do not judge me for the gender i am,
do not judge me for the way i write,
do not judge me for the way i talk,
do not force me to be uncomfortable in my own skin,
because it does not fit the ideas we were raised on.
