a miasma of confusion
of noise and lights and a plethora
of ideas,
pulling,
pleading to be noticed,
to be heard,

and then a single voice
breaks through.
at once, eyes close
against the myriad imaginings
that yet remain to be experienced,

and fingers flow
over the keys,
turning dreaming
into story.
